The Benefits of beet juice for ED

There is currently no strong scientific evidence to support the claim that beet juice is good for ED.

In spite of this, many men say regularly drinking beet juice helps them get or keep an erection. There may be a few reasons for this.

Nitric oxide

Beet juice helps the body produce nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is often used to open up the blood vessels and is sold as a dietary supplement for ED. Nitric oxide helps keep the pressure in the corpus cavernosum necessary to keep an erection.

The corpus cavernosum is a sponge-like tissue that becomes engorged with blood during an erection. There must be enough pressure in the tissue to keep the blood trapped and to maintain an erection. Nitric oxide helps sustain this pressure.

Beet juice may contribute to this because it is high in nitrates, and the body turns these nitrates into nitric oxide.

Reduced blood pressure

Beets also appear to affect other circulation factors of ED.

High blood pressure may influence ED, as it may make it difficult for blood to flow to the penis to enable an erection.

Research has found that foods such as beets that are high in nitrates can lower the blood pressure in people with hypertension. Drinking one cup of beet juice each day may be enough to experience this benefit.

Kim Kardashian Posts Nearly Nude In Sparkly Underwear

It's in no small part thanks to her social media savvy that Kim Kardashian has risen so highly in the celebrity stratosphere, along with her sisters. But this past week, the reality TV star turned media mogul has been very extra on Twitter, serving up one-liners as well as thirst trap photos. Most recently, the mother of three, who just welcomed her second daughter Chicago West, posted a nearly nude selfie from a bathroom. The photo, which showed off Kardashian's platinum waves and penchant for sparkly things (including Tom Ford underwear), didn't come with a caption outside of a flashing camera emoji, but what is there to say, really. While it follows another photo Kardashian posted last week of herself on top of a Rolls Royce wearing a sports bra and underwear with the caption "good night," it's actually Kardashian's non-photo tweets that have been the most eyebrow-raising over the past week.

The Computer Scientist Dreaming Of a Better Sex Robot

Kate Devlin says she does, occasionally, get a little weary of being pigeonholed as “that sex robot woman.”

Devlin, who was born in Northern Ireland, is a senior lecturer in the department of computing at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her days are spent raising a seven-year-old girl, training for a marathon by running to work, writing her next book, and teaching interaction design for undergrad, master's level, and PhD students.

And yes, thinking seriously about sex robots.

“There’s something so intrinsically human about sex, and it’s something that maps quite nicely onto AI,” Devlin told me in a recent Skype conversation from her London office. “In artificial intelligence, there’s this drive toward some kind of goal or behavior. That’s sort of like humans with their biological need to reproduce and spread our DNA.”

Uncovering Alien Sex

According to the late CDB Bryan, a journalist who chronicled tales of purported meetings with extraterrestrials in the book Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind: Alien Abduction, UFOs and the Conference at M.I.T., 43 percent of all reported alien encounters in the United States are with so-called “grey aliens”—thin, silvery beings with smooth skin, no hair, giant heads, slanted eyes and no sex organs. These same creatures were the ones that supposedly crash-landed in Roswell, New Mexico, 70 years ago, in 1947, spawning the alleged creation of the secret government alien and UFO investigation group known as Majestic Twelve.

The FBI has vehemently denied that Majestic Twelve ever existed—even going so far as to scrawl BOGUS across all pages of the possibly faked government briefing—yet ufologists around the world have expressed skepticism of the Bureau’s rejection.

Articles filled with buzzy tips on how to have good sex abound. Some detail what not to do (excessive smoking and drinking can both cause issues in the bedroom); others claim bliss is all about meditation and communication. However, according to recent research, part of achieving sexual satisfaction isn't so much what you do, but how you think—and whether you have an open mind.

Esquire.com conducted a reader study on what makes them happy, sex-wise. The findings were heartening:

Talking about sex may keep desire alive

A new study published in the BMJ Open finds that women living with their partner are over twice as likely to lose sexual interest compared with men. The research investigates some of the factors that may influence sexual interest.

The study was carried out by researchers led by Prof. Cynthia Graham, of the Centre for Sexual Health Research at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom.

Prof. Graham and colleagues examined data from the third National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles - the largest scientific investigation of sexual lifestyle in the U.K. - to see how a lack of interest in sex varies by gender.
