Watch the Trailer for Spike Lee's New 'She's Gotta Have It' Series

Spike Lee's 1986 movie She's Gotta Have It was a watershed moment for 80s indie cinema. It kickstarted Lee's career, cemented Brooklyn as a creative hub, and landed Lee in a string of influential Nike commercials. Now, more than 30 years after the film first hit theaters, Lee is bringing back Nola Darling and her three suitors for a new Netflix series based on his first joint.

The ten-episode show, appropriately titled She's Gotta Have It, will be written and directed entirely by Lee and executive produced by his wife, Tonya Lewis Lee. The series stars DeWanda Wise as Nola Darling and centers on the late-20s Brooklynite juggling her friends, her work, and her trio of lovers.

"As a sex-positive, polyamorous pansexual," Darling says in the trailer, "monogamy never even seemed like a remote possibility."

Marijuana may increase your sex drive

The relationship between marijuana use and sexual activity is still not clear, but a large study now strongly suggests that regular cannabis use may increase sexual drive.

Women in these Halloween costumes are likely to cheat

Photo Credit: Arturo Puccini | All Rights Reserved | Model: Candace

You may want to keep an eye on your other half this Halloween, after 66 percent of women said they were more inclined to stray on October 31.

And it’s all down to their costumes getting them in the mood, according to a survey of 9,300 ladies by affair dating website Victoria Milan.

Even more worryingly, one in three women polled said they counted Halloween as a “free night.”

They added that they would be most likely to stray with any man who was in the right place at the right time.

Among those looking to play away from home this Halloween, the most popular costumes were:

  • Sexy nurse
  • Catwoman
  • Zombies
  • Mummies
  • Monsters
  • Voluptuous vampire
  • Air hostess
  • Playboy Bunny
  • Policewoman

Victoria Milan CEO Sigurd Vedal said:

“Halloween is the day that allows everyone to express themselves creatively.

Is your vibrator collecting your usage information?

One "smart dildo" manufacturer was recently forced to shell out $3.75 million after it was caught collecting, err, "usage habits" of the company's customers. According to the lawsuit, Standard Innovation's We-Vibe vibrator collected sensitive data about customer usage, including "selected vibration settings," the device's battery life, and even the vibrator's "temperature."

At no point did the company apparently think it was a good idea to clearly inform users of this data collection. But security is also lacking elsewhere in the world of internet-connected sex toys. Alex Lomas of Pentest Partners recently took a look at the security in many internet-connected sex toys, and walked away arguably unimpressed.

Using a Bluetooth "dongle" and antenna, Lomas drove around Berlin looking for openly accessible sex toys (he calls it "screwdriving," in a riff off of wardriving). He subsequently found it's relatively trivial to discover and hijack everything from vibrators to smart butt plugs -- thanks to the way Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity works:
